Please can you help I’ve been trying to get Google maps to work in my Enfold site with Woo commerce, without success, I’ll give you log in details in the private link.

Also couple of questions about widgets, firstly the ones I can see under the appearance heading I assume I can freely adapt these without creating a child theme? There are 3 footer widgets how adaptable are they with the pages from the site?

This is my first WP site and am not sure if I just simply delete from ‘Pages’ all those I am not using before launching the site? I have deleted a few as the XML site map I created was enormous and the site is relatively small. Please give me a point in the right direction here I’d like to launch soon with best SEO in place.

    Hey Moonbeam,

Please update the theme to the latest version (3.8) first: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

Then follow this guide on how to create a Google API key: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-register-a-google-maps-api-key/

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard

Thanks for your help that’s worked fine Google maps now working a treat.

Can I ask you to clarify what I do in order to sort out the site map for my site, I started to delete some of the pages I haven’t used then noticed some of them are the functions. Can I still have access to these layouts if I do delete them from ‘Pages’. Does the site take its site map from ‘Pages” if not please let me know what I need to do – I have installed a widget that creates site maps but its pulling through lots of irrelevant stuff. Can you help please?

Also I’m finding it difficult to alter the footer to the way I’d like it to be, can you offer any suggestions here.

    many thanks

    Carol

    Hi Carol,

I’m not sure what plugin you are using but in general a sitemap will include all pages/posts/media on your site. I don’t understand what you mean by pages being functions, maybe that you use templates to add your own content with? If you should need a page from a demo again after it’s been deleted we can give you the shortcode for it so that you can copy/paste it into a new page again. You will need to activate debug mode in order to see shortcodes though: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/

    Best regards,
    Rikard
