Fatal error: Can’t use function return value in write context in /home/USER/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php on line 6
Tried downloading the theme and updating manually from FTP as well. Didn’t fix it.
Eventually just commented the line out and it’s back. I haven’t noticed any ill effects from doing this, but just thought I’d ask why this is happening and if there’s going to be a fix for it.
NEVERMIND. Now the visual editor won’t work at all. Just gives me a loading symbol forever. Now, I need some help fixing this.

Could you please post FTP and WP logins in private content field?
Also, please make sure your PHP version is minimum 5.6 which is recommended minimum version for WordPress. Enfold is compatible up to 7.x.Since you mentioned in another thread that you need to downgrade to an older version, i attached it in private content field in case you would like to wait until we figure out what is causing this issues. My current guess is using older PHP versions than 5.6

YigitThat was the issue! I was on like 5.4 or something. I had been seeing notifications on updating it, but it also said I needed to check my compatibility so I had been putting it off. Thank you!
