Hi there
I have updated the Enfold Theme on one of the websites I manage and am receiving the below message when I try to access the wordpress dashboard now. I have about 40 websites using the Enfold theme and so far I have updated about 10 successfully. I have not updated the others yet.
Help please.

April 27, 2016 at 2:53 am #622663In the meantime, I will attempt to restore a backup and try again. Thanks.
April 27, 2016 at 2:54 am #622664Hi simulthink!
Thanks for getting in touch with us!
Could you please provide a link and login details to the site along with FTP credentials, so that we can have a closer look. You can place the information in the Private Content section of your reply.
Cheers!
JordanApril 27, 2016 at 5:07 am #622707Hi Jordan. I reverted to Backup successfully and then tried to perform the update again and ended up with the same error. So, I have again reverted to backup. So, the website is back. But WordPress needs updating as does the Enfold Theme. This is the state before I had the two unsuccessful attempts to update WordPress and the Theme.
I have added the Cpanel and wp-admin login details to the private panel.
Is there anything you would like me to try or will you have a look?
Thanks for your prompt support.
April 29, 2016 at 2:14 pm #624465Hi,
there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-over-ftp/
Best regards,
AndyJune 15, 2016 at 9:23 pm #648861Hey Simulthink,
Do you have GoDaddy hosting … and if so, are you on their managed WP?
I also am getting the same error.
June 16, 2016 at 1:50 am #648913Hi Wildwood. Yes, that client’s website is with GoDaddy but is not on a Managed WP plan (at least not that I am aware of).

Looks like some files are missing. Please try to update the theme via FTP:

IsmaelJuly 4, 2016 at 6:06 pm #656674I got the same error after updating my website (www.eigersen.com / http://www.eigers.com). Unfortunately, I don’t have a backup of my site like the previous user. Is there anyway to repair the site or recover my data?
Any help would be appreciated,

July 19, 2019 at 5:46 am #1120060Hi Canadiancmc,
Sorry for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.5.7) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Also please make sure that the PHP version is 7.1 or 7.2.
Best regards,
Rikard -
