October 5, 2019 at 5:45 am #1145214Hey Warnstar,
Sorry for the problem. I see that you are running an old version of the theme, could you try to update to the latest version (4.6.3.1) to see if that helps please? The update to 4.6.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
RikardOctober 7, 2019 at 6:29 pm #1145872When I try to upadte normally I get this message:
“The link you followed has expired. Please try again.”When I try again with the plugin I get the same:
“The link you followed has expired. Please try again.”When I tried via ftp everything broke, no access dashboard at all. I have replaced the old theme now and have dashboard again. But I am out of ideas.
What should I do.

We can help you out with updating, though we need a verification that you have backups of the site in case something should go wrong?
Best regards,

October 9, 2019 at 3:59 am #1146335Hi,
Thanks for the update, so maybe it’s better if you do it yourself then? If you want to do it on the live site too. All you need to do is to create a new folder for the theme, enfold_new, for instance. Then upload the new version to that folder. Then you can rename the old version to enfold_old and the new version to enfold only. That should work for updating your site.
Best regards,
RikardOctober 10, 2019 at 4:02 pm #1146885thanks, home page is now working.
