    Im having a bunch of errors when trying to upgrade enfold theme to v4.5.1

    I’m using the update button from enfold theme options, theme update…

    These are the errors shown:
    Inside WordPress admin

    Hey abyjrc2016,

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.1 has to be done manually unfortunately, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    I followed the steps with the plugin and upload only to get another error message: “The link you followed has expired.”

    Yes Rikard one last thing
    I’m noticing that when previewing a post it doesn’t show any change I need to publish it in order to see it.

    I have updated the theme via the process in the thread you gave but I am running a child theme…how do I update the child theme?

    Hi mike_espie,

    No you should not have to update your child theme, it’s in place to override the parent only.
