I’m trying to update my Enfold theme to the newest 4.5 but I keep getting the errors shown in the link (private content).
I’m using Enfold Child Theme.There is a problem with Envato and this requires a different way of updating for this version. Here is how I did it and it worked fine for me:
the easiest and quickest way to update to v4.5 is if you have CPanel access to your site:1. Download the “Installable WordPress file only” from your Themeforest account
2. Login to your website’s CPanel – normally found at yourwebsite.com/cpanel
3. Open File Manager and navigate to the \wp-content\themes\ directory of your website
4. Rename the Enfold folder to Enfold-old
5. Upload the ZIP file you downloaded in step 1 to \wp-content\themes\
6. Extract the ZIP file you uploaded in step 5 to \wp-content\themes\
7. Delete the ZIP file you uploaded in step 5
When you check your website’s WordPress admin you will be updated to v4.5.
The previous version of Enfold will still be there – you can delete this if you are happy that the update has worked okay.Hi,
