    Hi,

I wanted to do some updates to my website, & thought I’d check how it’s displaying (I’ve changed some font colours etc).

It isn’t showing all the changes so I’ve tried doing a hard refresh of my browser & now it comes up with this error:

    Warning: session_start() [function.session-start]: open(/tmp/sess_nfbjl4k0lkvvsmbv9nc1duhjv0, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13) in /home1/minxy/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/masonry_entries.php on line 32

    Help please!

    How can I resolve this?

    Many thanks,

    Nikki

    Hey Nikki,

Please try adding following code to Functions.php file in Appearance > Editor

    add_theme_support('avia_no_session_support');

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

Thank you for that. Is there anywhere in particular that I should add that code, as there’s a lot of existing content in the Theme Functions (functions.php) file. Adding it in at the very beginning doesn’t resolve the issue & it seems to delete that line of code back out of itself again.

I added the code at the top, hit Save, which then loaded my website up (rather than remaining on the Dashboard / admin side as I’d expect). Then when I go back into that file, the line of code is nowhere to be seen.

Any help would be gratefully received!

    Many thanks,

    Nikki

    Hi,

You can add it to the bottom of the file.

If that does not help, please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Yigit

    Hi Yigit,

Sorry, the email that came through to me to say you’d replied had gone into my Junk folder – so I’ve only just seen it.

I’ve realised that it seems to only be if I put www. in front of my URL – it comes up with the original error above. If I just do mydomain.com (i.e. without the www.) then it seems to be ok, though it isn’t showing all my updates yet.

The backend of my website is a bit of a mess anyway – I am tempted to delete the whole thing and start again, though I’d prefer to be able to salvage what I’ve got!

I’ve set up an Admin user for you – I’ll paste the details into the Private Content box.

    Thanks for your help,

    Nikki

I purged cache and it does load fine on my end now. Can you please review your website? :)

    Best regards,

    Hi Yigit,

    Success! Thank you so much!

For my own future reference (& sorry if this is a really stupid question), how would I purge the cache?

Thank you for all of your help, I really appreciate it!

    Thanks,

    Nikki

    Hi Nikki,

You are welcome! You can simply hover on “performance” button on admin bar and purge cache there :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit
