January 28, 2019 at 12:11 am #1059475I am too…right after upgrade wordpress to the most current, and yes, having had other problems and different sites with different frameworks, I installed the classic editor plugin and activated it…anyway. I found 5 pages worth of complaints about this searching through this form but scanning through at least 3 of them, I did not see any answers. In my case it’s 4.4 to 4.5.3. Happy to do it FTP style but would love to (a) not have to and (b) understand why it’s not working…if there is something we should ALL be doing or if this is and individual kind of thing..

Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.5.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

RikardFebruary 24, 2019 at 9:39 pm #1071030I did an Enfold update yesterday and now I am not able to see my website at all. What happened? Are you all having some sort of problems? I need help fixing my website ASAP. Hoe can I get some help quickly?
February 27, 2019 at 4:19 am #1072140Hi,
Thanks for the update.
Did you update the theme manually via FTP? Can we access the file server? Please post the FTP details in the private field so that we can enable the debug mode.

IsmaelFebruary 27, 2019 at 7:18 pm #1072342Please help! I will attach the FTP information that I pulled from BlueHost as I need to get my site back up as soon as possible. I have a number of business pitches out and this is a HUGE problem for my business.
March 1, 2019 at 4:20 am #1072848Hi,
Thanks for the update.
We can no longer access the dashboard. Did you remove the WP account? Please add it back because we need to check the dashboard while we debug the issue.

IsmaelMarch 1, 2019 at 4:38 am #1072855The WP account should be there. I had to get them to load it back up. I see it on my end. Can you tell me if you are still not able to see it?
March 1, 2019 at 2:48 pm #1073206Can you post when you have had a chance to look at it again? Do you know if this will be a continuing problem with your theme? Or, is this a one time incident. My website is very important to my business.
March 2, 2019 at 4:25 am #1073484Hi,
We tried it again today, but it’s really not working. Is that another credential for FTP? The description says so. (see private field)
This is more likely a temporary issue and you can always update the theme manually via FTP.

IsmaelMarch 2, 2019 at 4:40 am #1073490This is the information that Bluehost have to me. Is there something different that you need? I can ask BlueHost for some different information, but they are sure that this one would work.
I am not sure what else to do and I need this fixed. This is extremely frustrating!
March 2, 2019 at 6:50 pm #1073673If I skip this update and wait for the next one will you all have it fixed where I can just update the file as I normally would instead of this complicated way?
March 4, 2019 at 5:56 am #1074148Hi,
We understand your frustration. The automatic update is not working because the site is still using an old version (4.4.1) of the theme, which is utilizing the old Envato API that is now deprecated. You have to do the manual update this one time.
// https://forums.envato.com/t/deprecating-the-envato-toolkit-wordpress-plugin/164628
You have to generate a personal token from Envato after manually upgrading to version 4.5.4 so that you can utilize the automatic update again.

IsmaelMarch 6, 2019 at 6:05 pm #1075572What other information can I give to you all so that my theme can be properly updated? I am told that the FTP information that I provided to you is the correct information.
Can you update my information by logging in to my WordPress account? HELP!
If my theme cannot be updated properly, I feel that I should be refunded my money because I will have to change themes. I purchased this theme with the intent to use it for a number of years and update it.
March 7, 2019 at 3:15 pm #1076006Hi,
Thanks for that. I’ve uploaded 4.5.4 to your site but activating it resulted in a 500 internal server error, I’m not sure why but it’s likely due to an old PHP version on the server. Please see private, you will see this on your Dashboard. Could you update the PHP version to 7.1 or higher please?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 9, 2019 at 10:18 pm #1076836Thanks!
I have updated the PHP to 7.0. Now my header is not acting right and I am having trouble posting to the Blog page. Can you please log in one more time and make sure that everything is set up correctly? My hosting provider did not know why it was doing that and felt that it was yet another problem with the theme.
March 9, 2019 at 11:43 pm #1076851Ok, I have found a fix for the header, but my blog post is giving me a 404 error. Please help me fix this ASAP. This is so incredibly frustrating!
