    Hello there,

I was updating my website ivantirtiaux.com but now there is an error 500.

    What I did so far:
    – Updated the PHP version to PHP 7.
    – Replaced the header.php file in wp-content/themes/enfold folder with an updated version of the header.php file.
    – Renamed the current .htaccess file to .htaccess.bak.
    – Defined a higher memory limit in wp-config.php file.
    – Deleted the “enfold” folder in wp-content/themes/ and uploaded a fresh copy of the “enfold” theme files.

I don’t know what to do more, and I really need help!

    Thanks,
    Nuno

    Hey nunopintodacruz,

Did you try to rename the plugin folder in order to disable all plugins?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    It worked :) Thanks!

Actually there’s an issue now: the only working page is the homepage. For every other one I get a “updating fails” message and the page does not work. The same thing happens when I try to create a new page: a “publishing fails” error message appears.

Also, I do not know how to reactivate plugins without generating the error 500 message again.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I see that you have some custom functions in functions.php and footer.php in your child theme. Did you try to remove them to see if they are causing the problem?

Plugins; you can restore the name to plugins again, then activate the plugins one by one to see which one is causing the problem.

You can also try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options to see if that makes any difference.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I changed the name of those two php files but that didn’t make any difference.
I activated the Classic Editor but the issue is still there.

I also created a test page but I got the following error when opening the page: 404 Not Found: The requested URL /test/ was not found on this server

What is strange is that I can modify each page in the dashboard, but the pages do not appear online…

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I didn’t want to change anything to any of your pages before asking permission, is there a page we can check the behaviour on? Or can we create a new one?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

You can create a new one, sure! Many thanks, I really got to have this website working asap.

    Hi,

    Any news?

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Sorry for the late reply, I created a test page but I can’t see the problems you are referring to. How exactly can we reproduce the problems you are having?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi Rikard, here’s what I see when I try to open the page you created:

    Not Found
The requested URL /albums/ was not found on this server.

    Hi,

It works on my end, are you sure that you are logged in when clicking it?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I’m not talking about the dashboard (where everything seems fine) but the website itself. If you go to the main page and try to open the pages in the menu no-one works.

    Example: http://www.ivantirtiaux.com/albums/

    Hi nunopintodacruz,

I can see it properly on my end.
I have checked it several times including some other pages.
Screenshot is posted in private content.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi Nikko.

    Thanks a lot.
I do not understand, I asked several people and they all have the same issue that I do when trying to open other pages in the website.

Can it be a matter of server, or http/https issue ?

    Hi nunopintodacruz,

    Best regards,
    Victoria
