Hello there!
I have a few issues with Enfold that I hope you can help fix.
1) The theme won’t update anymore. Auto update and manual update is not working. The theme is stuck in version 4.4.1
2) Sticky header stopped working.I have provided admin logins below. Let me know if you need more details or if there’s anything I need to do on my end to help fix the issue. Thanks!
March 19, 2021 at 2:52 pm #1289192Hi Archie!
I have updated Enfold to the latest version 4.8.1. Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and replace your API key with a Personal Token in Enfold theme options to receive future updates.
Please review your website :)
Cheers!
YigitMarch 19, 2021 at 3:48 pm #1289210Thank you for the prompt resolution Yigit! You are awesome!
For my second issue, there is a problem with the sticky header not working on the front end.
These are the current settings:
Enfold Child > Header Layout > Sticky Header enabled
On home page > Header visibility and transparency > Header is invisible and will appear once the user scrolls downCan you please take a look? Thanks so much!
March 19, 2021 at 4:09 pm #1289224Hi,
Enfold theme options > Header > Header Behaviour > Sticky Header was turned off. I simply turned it on and saved theme options.
Please review your website :)
Cheers!
YigitMarch 26, 2021 at 1:17 am #1290464Hi Yigit,
I am having the same issue with my sticky header. I have the sticky and shrinking header settings activated as noted above, but the logo isn’t enlarging and then shrinking when the page is scrolled. Instead, it has a gap below the logo until scrolled.
You can see this here: https://bobbiecharles.com.au/
Any assistance would be appreciated.
March 26, 2021 at 12:19 pm #1290532Hi @oladigital_co,
You are currently using an older version of the theme, 4.7.6 which is not compatible with your WP version.
Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.1.
Then, please generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)Best regards,
YigitMarch 29, 2021 at 6:56 am #1291024Thanks Yigit.
It seems the GoDaddy managed WordPress hosting plan has issues when checking the Personal Token, forcing me to have to update Enfold manually rather than through the Theme Update settings.
All fixed now though, thanks for your assistance.
March 29, 2021 at 11:21 am #1291066Hi Yigit,
I’m having the same problem as Archie – my theme is stuck in Version 4.4.1. and I can’t get it to update automatically. (In addition, I also actually am having problems with the sticky header – from reading this thread though, it seems that once I solve the update issue, the sticky header issue will automatically resolve itself)).
I’ve posted about this issue here (https://kriesi.at/support/topic/api-key-not-working-for-theme-update/#post-1291064) but haven’t gotten any help yet and I need help fast, as I need to solve this issue for my client.
I’ve tried updating via the dashboard and via theme options, but none have worked. I’m now considering updating manually via FTP, but I’m worried that that will overwrite my customisations. (I have activated the child theme – will that make things safe automatically, or are there other measure I need to take to ensure that nothing gets overwritten?)
Maybe Yigit you could take a look at my back end and make the update yourself? That would help me out a lot! I’ve provided the login details below.
Best,
Chris
