    Hi There,
    My first problem is that I cannot update enfold, I have taken over the website from a previous developer, bought the theme and added the new API to enable updates, the website is running version 4.0.5.
    error message if I try manually:

    The second problem I am having is that Slider Revolution is not visible, I am hoping that updating the theme will solve this issue.

    Hey Tinak,

    Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.8.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541

    You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.

    If you need help with updating, then please include FTP login details as well, and verify that you have backups of the site.

    The theme is now updated.

    Revolution Slider is still not visible, I checked the forums and found a solution that works for layer slider and possibly Rev Slider too, but can’t test the solution as the file has been removed. Please see.

    Could you please replace /enfold/js/avia-snippet-cookieconsent.js file with this one – https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/blob/master/temp_fixes/Enfold_4_6_3/avia-snippet-cookieconsent.js and flush browser cache?

    Hi Tina,

    Thanks for the update. On which page are you trying to use the Revolution Slider? If you have removed it, then please create a test page, so that we can see the actual problem.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I’m seeing jQuery errors on that page, could you try disabling all other plugins to see if that help please? If not, then please try reaching out to the plugin authors, to see if they can see what is going wrong.
