    I have Enfold version 4.2 installed on WordPress V 4.9.4. I have tried the Enfold update to 4.2.3 several times and it crashes my website. I get the “maintenance” message. I went on Cpanel and manually deleted the .maintenance file, then tried to launch my site and I get an error code “missing style sheet.” This may have been discussed here already. Is there a bug in the update? Please advise.

    Hey reamesr,

    I think that would be a problem local to your environment, did you try updating manually via FTP? http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/

    It doesn’t crash my website, but it totally blows up my graphic design. – looks like a microsoft frontpage site after updating to 4.2.3 on the latest WordPress 4.9.4

    Hi!


    @matinum     Have you modified header.php or includes/helper-main-menu.php files on your child theme? If you have, please copy fresh ones from Enfold 4.2.3 parent theme and apply the same changes again on your child theme.

    If that does not help or if you have any other questions, please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum :)

    No I have not – I purposely leave that alone to avoid problems. I restored my site to 4.2.2 and everything works fine again.

    Rikard, I uploaded the latest Enfold theme via FTP and the update to 4.2.3 was successful. It’s not a problem with my local environment. I update themes and plugins directly from my WordPress websites often and rarely have issues unless there is an issue in the update. Anyway, it’s done until the next Enfold update.

    @matinum     If you would like us to look into it, please create a testing environment – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/, update Enfold to the latest version, start a new thread under Enfold sub forum and attach logins in private content field.
