    Hi All Enfold team,

    I have notice that i’m not able to update the theme (child theme) from WordPress Dashboard. I need help please, i’d prefer to update it from wordpress dashboard and not using FTP.

    Could you please help me?
    I leave in pvt contenent, if u need my credential

    P.S.: I don’t want to update if it means to have a problem in the future

    Hey giorgiosilvia,

    Can you make a backup for your site first? so if a problem would persist during the theme update, we can always revert it back.

    ok Nikko i’ll do the backup. I need to know why i can’t update from dashboard, it’s the first time it happens. Do you know the reason?

    What will you do after i’ll back the site up?

    i don’t want to update if is not 100% secure and stable. So don’t update please if will be the possibility i’ll have any kind of troubles

    Hi,

    I’m not really sure what caused it, there are lots of factors that can affect it, probably the connection was interrupted in the middle of the update or the server had some issues or temporarily down for a moment. If there are logs, you can check for errors which may help you identify what caused the issue.

    After backup, you can try to update the theme, if it fails try updating via ftp: https://kriesi.at/archives/the-complete-guide-to-updating-enfold

    You can always put your site in maintenance mode while doing the update.
