    Can you disable caching and minification for now?
    If you have Autoptimize enabled, please disable it.

    Thanks Victoria,

    Has fixed the banner issue.

    I have also tried to update another one of my sites this morning and i am getting the same error messages that I received when i started this support request.

    I have posted the login details and ftp details below.

    i have tried deactivating all plugins and installing the theme update but it hasn’t worked. i got the same error message:

    Please disable all caching plugins and make a backup. Let us know when you’re done with that.

    hi again victoria,

    the same problem has now occurred with a 3rd website i run that uses enfold. There is clearly something wrong with the enfold update here. please can you let me know how to fix this problem.

    Here is the explanation of the issue

    Problem Updating Enfold: "Download failed. Problem downloading theme"

    The best way to go for now is to update the theme via FTP.

    hi i have a problem with updating a new site (URL in private content box).

    I have uploaded the newest version of enfold using FTP but in wordpress manager it says that i am still running version 3.8 and whenever i click update i get a error “home/clicks46/public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/auto-updates/class-envato-protected-api.php on line 307”

    please can you take a look at the problem

    Hi,
    I have taken a look at your site and see that you are using Enfold v3.8, this is a very old version and you will have to update via ftp, you will not be able to update with the theme option.
    Please ensure that you are using at least PHP version 5.6.
    I read above that you have uploaded the new theme via ftp, but perhaps you tried to overwrite the theme folder, Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.
    Please try again with these steps:
    The easiest and safest way to do this is to download the newest version from Theme Forest and rename your current theme to “enfold-old” then upload the new “enfold” and check that your site is working correctly.
    Once you are happy you can delete the “enfold-old” via ftp, (not the WP theme page)
    Should for some reason you wish to roll-back to the old version, it’s easy to do, simply rename the new “enfold” to “enfold-new” via ftp and then rename “enfold-old” to “enfold” then refresh your page.
