    Hey there!

    Hope you’re doing good.
It’s been a long time since I hadn’t checked my forms performance and just bloody realised my visitors have been misleadingly submitting their contact info but not getting the actual offers (ebooks) I promise them cos’ the theme messed up some linking work and post-download messaging I had placed before and wrongly assumed they were working ok. Then, when I try to catch up with some leads on my ebooks, they replied I misled them to submit the interchange their info for nothing. So I’ve lost biz.

After reading the related threads I realised mi case was particularly different cos’ when I create a new form it still has a pre-saved format (which I didn’t create) but is still modifiable. Then when I try to change the the form that actually matter, the changes are reflected but don’t last. If I add big changes, they work, but the bloody text onthe forms just won’t change and I’ve also wasted lots of my time dealing with it. This is seriously driving crazy and I haven’t attempted any other solution cos’ I dont know what theme to delete (parent or child) in the fist place?

Can I give you some login info you to check this out pls?

Any quick help would be much appreciated.

    Regards,

    Hi,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    Login credentials include:

    • The URL to the login screen.
    • A valid username (with full administration capabilities).
    • As well as a password for that username.
    • permission to deactivate plugins if necessary.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hey Nikko,

    Thanks for the replay.
I’ve also noticed that every now and then a change can take place, but most of the times they don’t. You’ll never know, in deed.

    Many thanks!

    Hi hacart,

Thanks for your patience. I have looked into your backend and everything seems to be clear, no js errors or anything that I notice.

    You have mentioned the following:

when I create a new form it still has a pre-saved format (which I didn’t create) but is still modifiable.

If I’m not mistaken you are referring to the Contact Form of the theme like the one in the link (private content), and you mentioned the text on the forms which is the label? I have tried modifying it and reversing my action, it seems to work properly. Can you guide me maybe what steps you take where no change is happening even if you changed it.

    Best regards,

    Hi Nikko,

Basically, I realised the forms which lead my visitors to download ebooks had dropped their links so they happened to just thank the user without giving the actual ebook away. Not only the links desappeared but also the CTA’s messages, so if I make a modification it has to fix everything in one go cos’ once I come back, the theme’s backend just deletes my latest modification. It’s a hoorible loop, its definifitely a BUG.

The changes are always refleted on the frontend, but when I have a look at the backend again, they’re gone and if I save the form once more, it’ll go back to the default state (not clean, but the form I saved for the “contact us” page. It’s such a curse.

The form took for granted all future forms would have the very message, so when I create a new form it comes populates with email, form title, thank you message (which is the worst co’s I need the second option – send the users to the ebook’s link) and the auto-response, which is empty by default, and insists in staying that way!!!!, here is where things get sour and my visitors are frustrated.

How can we solve the preset, unmodifiable forms, then? I need urget help!

    Hi!

Can you please check your php memory limit?
It seems that the form expires on each saving and it resets everything.
Please make sure if it is 256M and if that happens again after

    Cheers!

    Hey Basilis!

php memory is at its limit: 256M. The hosting providers cannot do anything at this point. You can check it out here:

    https://www.casadelmedia.com/phpinfo.php

I’m about to start a Content Campaign but this trouble with editing on Enfold makes me uneasy since the theme is becoming less and less reliable for me to work freely on content editing. So what’s next pls? The forms won’t save my autoresponses for long!

    Cheers,

    Hey!

I noticed that you have been replying to older threads. If possible, please refrain from doing that and stick to your own thread. The more you reply to older threads, the bigger the queue gets so we won’t be able to respond to your original thread quickly.

And regarding the issue at hand, please check our response from the previous thread.

Did you subscribe the site to a cdn provider? This old thread might help.
