    Hey paulchiao,

Did you try to remove robots.txt temporarily to see if that works? Please note that we are here to help out with theme related matters only.

    Best regards,

    Hi Rikard,

    FINALLY!!!

I find this bug for you.

the problem (website cannot pass google mobile-friendly test) is all because I set Error 404 Page to Homepage in the theme options,

    how I find this solution?
when I was trying to run my website in https://gtmetrix.com/ to test the website speed this morning, Gtmetrix said my website responded 404 and he cannot test its speed.
this caution occurs to me that I have set the 404 pages to my homepage in the theme options.

So, I go straightly to untick it.

after I untick this option (Error 404 Page),
my website can pass google mobile-friendly test again
    https://search.google.com/test/mobile-friendly

hope this information can be helpful to people who have the same problem
or you can update your theme files to avoid this

    Hi paulchiao,

Thanks for reporting that and I’m glad you found the problem. We’ve had others report the same thing, it’s a problem with the latest update unfortunately. It should be fixed in the next update of the theme, sorry for the inconvenience.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Just read this. I have been running my site without a 404 page but trying to get better google standards so am going to add a 404 page. Thanks for making that easy (I think on theme options setting). Is this problem as listed above because of setting the 404 to redirect to HOME page or
error with using any 404 page?
Just wondering if I should wait to install my 404 redirect page
    Thanks

    Hi pathaug,

You can totally make the 404 page , just write us if it does not work for you.

    Best regards,
    Victoria
