My client likes the homepage capabilities from one Enfold demo, but the interior pages from a different Enfold demo. If I purchase this theme, am I able to create a site mixing different designs from different Enfold demos?
Also, do I need to use a child theme if I am going to edit any of the css? If so, can you direct me to where I can learn more about how to use an Enfold child theme?
Thanks!October 15, 2015 at 10:37 pm #519604
Thank you for contacting us!
Yes, you can use any element you see on demos on any pages since demos were built without any customization. You can check out this video tutorial to see how Advanced Layout builder works – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/portfolio-item/intro-to-the-advanced-layout-editor/
Not necessarily. You can add your custom CSS code in to Enfold theme options > General Styling > Quick CSS field or Enfold/css/custom.css file. If you would like to make changes on other theme files however, we recommend you to use a child theme. You can refer to this post to learn more about Enfold child theme – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/using-a-child-theme/

Is there a way to integrate press releases in Enfold? My client wants to be able to easily post/manage press releases and have them listed from newest to oldest… Is there a built-in option or would I need to load a 3rd party plugin?November 2, 2015 at 9:49 pm #528829
Hey again Stacie!
If you mean blog posts, you can easily create them ( using Advanced Layout Builder or using default editor ) and you can choose one of the multiple elements to display them. Here is our magazine example – http://kriesi.at/themes/enfold/homepage/home-v10-magazine/
If that is not what you meant, please elaborate :)

Does Enfold limit the appearance to the smallish nature of the example you sent? or are there other options to display them larger? Kind of like how this page was done: https://talktothemanager.com/pressNovember 2, 2015 at 10:07 pm #528839
No, that was just an example. As i said, you can use multiple elements to display your blog posts. Following are some of the examples
These were created using Post Slider, Blog Posts and Masonry elements and you can see the Magazine element in my previous post.

I think I can get that to work for them. Thanks!
On another note, I just purchased and loaded the theme and have been building… I see in several of the demos, there is this little horizontal divider under the Special Heading box… some are just straight lines about 1 inch long, some have a line and little dot in the center…. are these custom made dividers that were put in via css? or do they come preloaded as options somewhere in the theme?November 4, 2015 at 11:21 am #529872
