Hi
i have a lot of videos on my site from youtube and i used your video feature.
It is not possible to rebuild this with iframesDSGVO / GDPR says that you must use the “NoCookie-URLs” from Youtube.
Just mentioning in the privacy-declaration the usage of Third-Party-Cookies is NOT ENOUGH.Please make it it possible to use NoCookie-URLs in your theme or you endanger a lot of people of getting severe fines.
Thanx a lot marcusMay 29, 2018 at 11:49 am #963601Hi
may i have an answer, please?
MarcusMay 29, 2018 at 11:53 am #963606Despite many voices here in the forum, the Kriesi team states it’s not necessary to use no-cookie URL’s :-(. See here for example (there are more threads on the matter):

Yes thank u for the feedback but we already positioned our self regarding that.
Basically you are covered with your Policy, so it is fine.

Please read the Hashtag #Abmahnungen on Twitter and you will find out that there are a lot of lawsuits going on since friday – also with Youtube as a reason.June 3, 2018 at 8:40 pm #966236Hi,

There’s still a connection to the YouTube servers, so personal data like the IP address is still sent automatically (without opt-in). Some (stupid) German lawyers already sent out cease-and-desists for using Google fonts which doesn’t place cookies either. IMHO there’s no difference between using Google fonts and YouTube nocookie videos, since both do pretty much the same thing, i.e. loading something from Google’s servers and therefore sending the IP address of the visitor to Google.
June 4, 2018 at 9:58 am #966401so the only advice is at the moment to have no youtube/vimeo videos – no google Maps or Fonts on start page.
so if you like to show a background video / video on startpage it has to be a selfhosted video. After the cookie consent and the link to Privacy Policy is clicked away or read everything is ok. After informing the visitiors – everything can happen.
So both pages ( Start Page and Privacy Policy must be free with loading api/ setting cookies etc.For the first time i have all my website turned into selfhosted font sites – and have no map api loading on startpage ( because the api loads roboto font) and get so in contact with google servers.

June 4, 2018 at 10:15 am #966406Guenni007… you can prevent the loading of Google fonts from Google Maps. There’s a solution in your own thread :-)
We still use Google Maps as usual on some of our sites because it’s important for our business and it’s therefore a justified interest. We have the opt-out option in the cookie window and in the privacy policy and if we get a cease-and-desist, I’m ready to fight it (and will probably find somthing on the lawyers’ and their client’s websites which violates the GDPR ;)
For our videos we use the “Wait for user interaction to load the video” option with a fallback image and a short dislaimer before the first video on the page with a link to the privacy policy where you can disable it.
June 4, 2018 at 10:38 am #966418yes i know that – but i use a different google maps plugin. And the prevent loading roboto script does not work propper on that plugin.
