    Hello,

I’m having an odd interaction that recently popped up on my site. When I tried to use the Advanced Layout Editor with my pages, none of the tools were active; clicking on them didn’t activate them. I started disabling plugins and found that when MemberPress was active, it disabled the Advanced LayOut Editor, but the only other plugin that was activated was the WordPress Classic Editor. When I disabled that and left MemberPress active, I could use the Advanced Layout Editor. However, if MemberPress is disabled, then I can use the Classic Editor and Enfold’s Advanced editor just fine. So, it seems to be a weird interaction by all three of them. I wasn’t able to get much help from MemberPress, so thought I’d see if you had any ideas of what might be causing this or if you’ve had any other experiences involving any of these plugins with Enfold. Here are the versions I’m using (all the latest):

    Enfold: 4.5.6
    Classic Editor: 1.6.2
    MemberPress: 1.9.21

I’m not fond of the new WordPress editing environment, so would like to continue using the classic editor. In the meantime, I’m using the new environment, but with that, I’m noticing that the Title area overlaps the shortcode box so every time I try to type in the title area, it throws me into the shortcode box after one character. I have to turn off the Advanced Layout Editor in order to complete the title. Not sure it that’s also a function of a plugin interaction, I haven’t chased that one down yet.

    Thanks,
    Greg

    Hi Greg,

Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.8.6.2) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If that doesn’t help, then please post admin WordPress login details in private, so that we can have a closer look.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    HI Rikard,

That did it! I didn’t catch that there was an update. Sorry to bother you, but thanks for the help…
