Hi,
Suddenly the editor on our site is not loading. I just get a permanent loading spinner.
I see an error in Chrome dev tools
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () editor.css:1
I’ve tried disabling all plugins and still get the same error. How can I resolve this?
Thanks
Phil
October 17, 2024 at 6:09 am #1469287Hey philthebass,
Thank you for the inquiry.
The editor seems to be loading correctly. Is this happening on a specific page? Please provide the link to the page where the issue occurs.
Best regards,

Thank you for the info.
Did you add any custom scripts or embed any code in this page? Please try to set the builder to debug mode so that we can check the builder shortcodes:
// https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode
We get an error when we open the page:
load-scripts.php?c=1&load%5Bchunk_0%5D=jquery-core,jquery-migrate,utils,wp-hooks&ver=e827396fc34e6c62a26ca19ef49468b3:2 Uncaught TypeError: a(...).tipTip is not a function at Object.initTipTip (erp.min.js?ver=1.13.3:1:4772) at Object.initialize (erp.min.js?ver=1.13.3:1:4721)
This error is from a plugin with the slug “erp”. Are you using the WP ERP plugin?

Plugins and everything is updated. don’t know why it’s not working.October 19, 2024 at 2:51 pm #1469442Hi,
SarahSchwarick please open a new thread so we can investigate your issue, and include a admin login in the private content area. Since this is not your thread posting your login here will not be private and you will not see anything we write in the Private Content area.Best regards,

Thank you for the update.
We created a test page (see private field) with the same content, but it switches back to the Classic Editor after update. What happens when you remove the shortcodes and any links with the .aspx extension
[ESPRESSO_EVENTS_TABLE_TEMPLATE category_slug=pathways-to-recovery-enrolment show_all_datetimes=true template_file=pe-espresso-events-table-template-toggle.template.php table_paging=false table_sort=false]
Can we deactivate the plugins temporarily?

Thank you for the update.
Unfortunately we can’t disable plugins at the moment as we have live courses running this week.
It’s likely an issue with the embedded content since the error is not occurring on other pages. You may need to clone the site to a staging environment so we can properly debug the issue. Please let us know once the development site is ready.

Thank you for the update.
We tried to copy the shortcode from the staging site to a new page, but the error generated by the WP ERP plugin still occurs. Also, the editor reverts to the default editor after updating the page. Can you reproduce this issue? (see the private field.)

IsmaelOctober 25, 2024 at 10:34 am #1469829Hi Ismael,
Thanks for your patience with this.
I have disabled WPERP on both staging and production. The editor loads OK on staging but still still not on production.
I have raised this issue with them, but they take time to respond. With WPERP disabled the error no longer show, but the editor still doesn’t load.
I also see other errors on production:
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 403 () admin-ajax.php:1
Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 404 () editor.css:1Could that be contributing to the issue
Thanks
Phil

October 25, 2024 at 2:13 pm #1469837Hi,
I’ve finally figured out what was happening.Cloudflare was blocking requests for admin-ajax.php – I’ve set a WAF rule to deal with that and it now loads fine.
Thanks for all your help.
