Hello
I have Thrive Apprentice installed for my Courses and I have the following problem:
Lessons are not saving as “completed” even after clicking that the lesson has been clicked “mark the lesson as complete”. This is super confusing for my students who are getting a little lost when returning to the course.
I contacted Thrive Themes and they found that the issue lies within the Enfold Child them – their feedback is as follows:
Thanks for getting back to us!
I checked the issue that you are having and I can also replicate it on the staging site. I then went ahead and proceeded with the plugin deactivation. After deactivating your non-Thrive plugins, I can see that the issue is still occurring.
I then noticed that you are using a child Theme. After switching the theme to a WordPress theme, I can see that it is now working properly. Please see – https://www.loom.com/share/be2af355373f421abb266abdc7166d4d
With this being said, could you please check your Child theme with regards to the issue that you are having?Upon checking, there’s no specific error displayed which is why we can’t give you the exact details you need to check with your child theme.
Perhaps you can ask your child theme support for assistance and for them to be aware of the issue caused by their theme. Please let us know if this helps you and if you have any other questions.
I have created a staging site for them to test on.
Please could you assist.
Thank you so much.
March 4, 2022 at 7:37 pm #1343191Hey PeterSocialiq,
Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.9) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. If not, then please try activating the parent theme, or deactivate all plugins, to check what happens then.
Please note that our support is limited for unsupported third party plugins.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 5, 2022 at 1:15 pm #1343249Hello Rikard
I have updated the theme to the current version, but the problem persists.
If I deactivate Enfold, the lessons get marked as completed and automatically the next lesson gets loaded onto the screen. As soon as I re-activate Enfold, none of the lessons show that they have been completed and one is unable to mark a lesson completed nor does a new lesson load automatically. It appears that Enfold is blocking this ability in Thrive Apprentice.
Please could you look as to why this is happening?
Thank you
March 5, 2022 at 7:30 pm #1343283Hi,
Thanks for the update. It looks like the plugin you are using is a paid plugin? We don’t own a license for it, could you share it with us privately please? We will only use it for testing purposes.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 7, 2022 at 8:41 am #1343440Hi Rikard
Thrive Apprentice is not a downloadable plugin that I can send you. When one purchases it, you have to install the Thrive Product Manager and from there you select the items you have purchased the license for, and the installation works from this Thrive Product Manager. Once the various plugins are installed via the Thrive Product Manager, they appear in the Plugins directory,
I can send the Thrive Product Manager Plugin zip file (but this is already on my website).
March 8, 2022 at 2:20 pm #1343630Hi,
Thanks for the information!
I went to Enfold theme options > Performance and chose to always load media features in “Self hosted videos and audio features (WP-Mediaelement scripts)” and that helped. Please review your website and apply the same change on your live site :)
Best regards,
