    Hello:

on our website we allow comments below blog post – moderated, i.e. they need to be approved. Regardless, we are targeted increasingly by SPAM comments. To mitigate this we would like to do the following:

    1) remove the ‘Website’ field in the comments
    2) block all links or HTML code in any of the comments field (name, website, comments field)
    3) block certain words, e.g. viagra, drug, prescription, ..
    4) block certain IPs

In an ideal world a warning would pop up if someone tries to include a link or a blocked word.

    How would one implement such?

    Kind regards,
    Magnus

    Hi Victoria:

thank you. The thread you linked refers to the contact form, are you sure the solutions apply as well to the comments plugin which I am concerned aboutl?

    Thanks,
    Magnus
