Hello,
I’m creating a Enfold Child Theme.
Unfortunately, I do not know what to change in the functions.php file. See next line; what do I have to fill in for parent-style?
$parent_style = ‘parent-style’; // This is ‘enfold-style’ for the Enfold theme.

I only have Enfold> import / export> Export theme settings (which makes the file download)or I can go up – “look” where I can see that there is the child theme, have a preview in real time, or make it active …

Thank you for the login, I enabled your child theme and found the plugin “health check” was causing problems with the parent theme import settings, I disabled the plugin and the import of the parent theme settings worked well

Hi,
With daily work, make your changes within the child theme only, do not switch back and forth with the parent theme.
The parent theme will not show your changes if you switch back, consider the child theme as your custom theme.For past customizations you can switch back to the parent theme one more time to get all of your custom functions.php codes, (only the codes you added, not the whole file) save them to a text file, like “Note Pad” on Windows or “TextEdit” on OSX, and then place them in the child theme functions.php.
Your parent theme Quick CSS should have copied over to the child theme Quick CSS, but if it didn’t, go ahead and do that too.
If this is confusing we can assist.When you update, stay in the child theme, updating will update the parent theme and the child theme will know the difference automatically. If you update via FTP, the replace the “enfold” folder, not the “enfold-child” folder.

I understood one thing, I will only work with the son theme.
after that, the css code seems to work regularly, the size of the breadcrumbs and the ajax search previews are correct, but only the frame and not the photograph appear (private link) and I ask you if possible to check how you solve this problem .for the rest I think I’ll have to get used to working with these changes.

I took a look at the private link in both the child theme and parent theme and saw no difference, so I’m not quite sure what is not working.only the frame and not the photograph appear
where does the photograph appear on the search results page you linked to, can you include a screenshot of the correct page layout so we can investigate?

After a few attempts I managed …. I had to copy the loop-search file that had been changed by enfold and paste it into enfold-child creating the “include” subfolder and editing the loop file again as per instructions (https: // kriesi.at/support/topic/add-featured-image-to-search-results/)
so the previews have reappeared!
I’m not sure it’s the process, if there’s a better way, please tell me.
