I’ve seen the other posts on this issue and my assistant and I have tried all of the solutions offered but the editor is still not loading on some of the pages.

This site ( has been running the Enfold theme for quite some time and all of a sudden it stopped loading.

    Can you help?

    Hey GoToGalMarketing,

Please provide admin info so we can login and look into this issue further. Also, can you please give a brief rundown of the measures you have tried already?

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

I put the login in the private content below.

I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the theme, updating the theme and WP, adding a code snippet in the wp-config file, etc.

    Thank you!

If you haven’t already, I would recommend increasing php memory limit, as well as disabling all active plugins to see if there may not be some sort of conflict.

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

Yes, I’ve tried disabling all of the plugins and there doesn’t seem to be a conflict.

I just checked with my assistant (a web developer) and he says that he did increase the php memory limit and it didn’t help.

    What was it increased to?

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

He increased it to 128 megabytes.

Could he try for 256mb and then retest the page?

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon

Ok, he did and it is still not loading. :-/

I have seen like 10 reports which describe exactly this behaviour and you are throwing random suggestions what to try at anyone who’s reporting it. It’s clearly a bug with Enfold (probably because of the latest WordPress update). When are you finally going to talk to a developer who investigates this bug?

It’s sad how you are treating the customers and leaving them in the dark. I’ve got multiple enfold licenses but the support experience is really horrible

    Hi @kvschneppenheim,

The result might be the same, but the causes are different as to why the Layout Builder breaks. We try to help everyone out individually to find out the cause of their particular problem. Causes can include, but are not exclusive to; unclosed html markup, 403/404 server responses on WordPress files used by the theme, plugin conflicts etc. It has nothing to do with the latest WordPress update.

If you’re unhappy with our customer support then please at least try to keep your criticism to one thread as it keeps us from helping out the original poster.

    Best regards,

    Hi @GoToGalMarketing,

I see that you are getting a 404 error on a WordPress file (admin-ajax.php) which the theme is using. I have seen this problem on other installations before but we have been unable to locate the problem unfortunately. Could you try to contact your hosting provider to see if they know why that is happening please? As far as I could see this is only happening on your front page?

We will investigate why this is happening on our end but we might need some help from your hosting provider, so please try to contact them with the information at the start of this message.

    Best regards,

To allow us further investigations could you please provide us FTP access to your server?
Can we also disable plugins for a short time to check?

Send the details in private content.

    Best regards,

My developer figured out the problem.

The ajax calls in the theme editor triggered a two-phase security lock out. He whitelisted the ajax calls and the editor loads fine now.

Hopefully, this is helpful to anyone having this same issue!

Great! I am happy you were able to get this figured out. If you need additional help, please let us know here in the forums.

    Best regards,
    Jordan Shannon
