    Hi there!

    I have a client who just had updated wordpress to the latest version. Including Php version 7.4. And now the AVIA layout builder does not work, meaning the client can’t update any information on the page… tried using the classic editor plug-in but no success. They have bought his product – Enfold A superflexible and responsive Business Theme version 3.4.6. and I understand that is the latest version since there are no updates availble.

    Hi,

    Thanks for contacting us!

    You are currently using a very old version of the theme which is not compatible with your PHP and WP versions. Updating the theme to the latest version would fix the issue.

    Please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ and update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.8.1.

    Then, please generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)

    Labdien,

    It will fix the issue and should not cause any issues but to be on the safe side, please have a backup or create a staging site and update there firstly :)

    Ok will try. Since I have not set-up the site and haven’t bought the theme myself, I can’t seem to find the update option anywhere under the enfold settings. What should I do step-by-step?

    Hi,

    Do you have access to the Themeforest account which was used to purchase the theme license? If so, then you can download the theme files from there. After you have access to the theme files, then the update to 4.8.x has to be done manually from the version you are running. You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/

    If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
