Hi team –
We use Enfold to power our website and I am thinking on doing some design updates. I have some questions:
Is it worth moving to Enfold 2017? Will that allow me to keep the existing structure and settings, or will I lose everything?
Are we on the latest version of Enfold? If not, how can I upgrade? I assume our support package has lapsed since we first bought Enfold 4 years agoFYI we host on WPEngine

Hey Alex Raymond,
Do you mean that you want the 2017 design only? If so then you shouldn’t lose any content on your site, you could simply import the 2017 demo theme settings.
You are not running the latest version of the theme. If you want to update the please follow these instructions since the update to 4.5.x has to be done manually: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
