Hi
i have 3 Sliders
-Slider 1: for big screen
-Slider 2 – for medium screens
-Slider 3 -for small screensEvery slider contains 6 images
-Slider 1 contains images in HD
-Slider 2 contains images in 989px width
-Slider 2 contains images in 767px widthExpected behaviour:
To load only the image-sizes needed for certain screensizes and to save bandwidth on big screens all the smaller sizes should not be delivered and on small screensizes only the small images should be loaded …and not the big ones.
This is one of the ideas behind responsiveness, right?Reality:
ALL images(the big ones, the medium ones and the small ones) are loaded and so the pageload is much bigger than without using your “responsive” elements.
This is the exact opposite of what one wants to reach.
I want to save bandwith for my customers and not deliver a bloated website, or am i wrong??You can check it here by inspecting the source-code:

PS: Here is the shortcode

It’s possible with the srcset attribute, but the theme implementation of the attribute is still under development and not available for the sliders yet.

If i use your tools of making my website responsive i end up with a bloated website that destroys my SEO??
So Enfold is either not responsive or not SEO-friendly??December 9, 2019 at 4:53 am #1163965Hi,
The site is fully responsive — but it doesn’t contain the feature that you’re asking, which is the srcset attribute. It will not load a different or smaller version of the images on mobile view. And please note that search engine optimization depends on how the page are structured, how the contents are updated and consistently added to the site, which is what matters most for search engines, not the theme or framework itself. The theme provides all the elements that you need to create content that are fully optimized for search engines. It is now up to the site owner how he/she will use those tools to create an SEO-friendly website.

IsmaelDecember 10, 2019 at 1:07 pm #1164379So Enfold-customers must decide if they want good SEO or a responsive website??
Both seems not to be possible.Do you agree that one part of responsiveness is to save bandwidt for users???

So Enfold-customers must decide if they want good SEO or a responsive website??
As we’ve said, the theme is SEO-friendly, but it is up to the site owners or developers to make the site fully optimized for search engines. It’s all about the content. If you don’t know where to start, there are a lot of free SEO tutorials out there — Yoast’s documentation for example.
Do you agree that one part of responsiveness is to save bandwidt for users???
Yes, we agree. This is why we created the following articles to help users optimize their site.
