Hello,
I am using Enfold as the Parent Theme in Version 4.6.3.1 and I experience the issue that the editors are not “always” in sync. I.e. elements in the code editor are not shown in the extended layout editor and vice versa. WordPress version is 5.3 and therefore Gutenberg is active per default.
In the console I have spotted the error “Block validation: Expected token of type
StartTag
… Block validation: Block validation failed forcore/shortcode
… ” which is coming from blocks.min.js.can you help?
Best regards
Julian
December 1, 2019 at 4:52 am #1161547Hey Julian,
I’m not sure I understand what you mean by them being in sync, could you try to explain that a bit further please? Also please point out how and where we can reproduce this problem on your actual site.
Best regards,
RikardDecember 3, 2019 at 9:38 am #1162112Hello Rikard,
I can’t find items in the Avia Layout Architect which are present in the code editor view and they also might be visible at the website. They are somehow lost in the editor. That’s what I call
not in sync
, both editors have not the same content and I don’t know how to solve it.I have attached further information in the private section.
Best regards
Julian
December 4, 2019 at 4:57 am #1162446Hi,
Thanks for that. What happens if you select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options?

RikardDecember 5, 2019 at 9:19 am #1162841Hello Rikard,
after switching to the classic editor the elements are still lost in the avia layout architect. So the issue is related to the Gutenberg editor?
Best regards
Julian
December 6, 2019 at 4:07 am #1163271Hi Julian,
Thanks for the update, I’m still unsure what you mean by elements disappearing though. Could you first upgrade the account you sent us to have admin rights, then point out on an actual page what we need to do to reproduce this problem please? If you have screenshots of the problem then that would help as well.

JulianDecember 10, 2019 at 5:07 am #1164304Hi,
Thanks for that, but I’m getting an error message when trying to view the preview. Please see private.
I see that you have used a special character in the button on the right in the first section. What happens if you remove the > character?

Thanks for the update. I see that it’s a symbol you have used there, not a special character. My bad.
Could you activate debug mode in order to see builder shortcodes so that we can check if the missing content is in there please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode. We can do it for you if you give us permission. Also, is it ok if we switch to the Classic Editor for testing purposes?

Thanks for the update. I checked the problem page on the staging site now, but I can’t see the missing content on the front end anymore. The content in the Layout Builder and the front end is the same now. Maybe you could try to copy the shortcode from the staging site to the live site?

Thanks for the update. I’m not sure which site you are seeing that on? I checked the staging site but could not find the word in the backend. I tried checking the live site as well but the login details are not working for that site unfortunately.
The problem might be the br tag that you have places inside of the header, could you try removing that from the shortcode to see if that changes anything?
Best regards,
