If I put the ekomi-widget (see private content below) in a textbox, everything is OK. But as soon as I move this textbox in a column, the ekomi-widget isn’t shown any longer on the page. Any idea? Thanks!

    Hey Ralf,

Can you give us temporary admin access to your website in the private content box below, so that we can have a closer look?

Which page are you using it on?

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hi Victoria,

Thanks for your answer. It’s possible to grant you admin access, but inside this WP installation are some sensitive data stored (via formular) and I had to look after that first. So it would be kind if you could first look at the test pages I have created (see links below). The sourecode contains the eKomi-stuff in both cases but in the second case (inside a 1/1 column) the widget isn’t show.

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi Ralf,

Thanks for the links, I’m not sure why it’s not showing unfortunately, I think we would have to actually look at what you are doing on the backend to see what is going wrong.

That widget really only generates an image, doesn’t it? If so, then maybe it would be a better idea to simply screenshot that part and display it as a regular image? That will likely save you some load time as well.

    Hi Ricard,

Thanks for your message. Yes, it’s an image, but it’s kind of a generated one. So the widget always shows the picture with the newest or whatever reviews from eKomi.

I will purge the personal data and give you access to the website soon.

    Best regards,

    Ralf

    Hi Ralf,

I’ve seen that before and I know it’s popular in Germany, but if it doesn’t change all that often, then screenshotting it might be a better idea as opposed to using the widget code.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
