    Hi,
I’ve seen many requests for a global template block over the years, and as far as I can determine, that’s never materialised.

I’d say it was a vitally important element to any site, and seems very conspicuous by its absence on such an excellent, well supported theme as Enfold.

So I’m publicly attempting to perhaps force this request through again.

To be specific, Enfold offers ‘2’ solutions to a global repeating area of design, that ‘almost’ work:
    1. Templates – these can be designed and drafted into pages across a site – however, they are not editable, in which case, they are mostly useless as a change means creating a new standalone template and deleting and resaving throughout the entire site.
    2. Page Content – this can be any design, and loaded into any page, and is, by default, editable as its just a standard content page. The snag here, Page Content cannot be, for example, loaded into a left hand column – it occupies the full width of the page.

So again, PLEASE can we have some kind of globally editable block of design, that can be positioned anywhere on the site.

    Thanks in advance

    Hi,

Our devs commented on your request and informed me that unfortunately this is pretty complex to implement so is not planned, at least for the near future. We will keep it open and will revisit later.

Unfortunately, there is no workaround for fullwidth elements such as Color Section however if your content does not include fullwidth elements, you can enable debugging mode for ALB elements – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-layout-builder/#debug-mode, add Page Content element to your page and choose which page you would like to use, copy its shortcode from ALB debug field right below ALB and paste it into Code Block element inside columns elements.

I hope that works for you :)

    Best regards,
    Yigit

Thanks Yigit, that suggestion is something I’ll try.

Maybe if the devs could please keep this repeatable block ‘thing’ in mind, however, as the fundamental make-up of many sites relies upon repeatable elements, and it’s tantalisingly close with Enfold, just no cigar – yet.
