Our client has created a page, the page is in draft mode
The page has been changed but the changes do not show in the preview
My cache plugins are deactivated and I have tried a different browser, same result.
On the edit page I have an error in my js console

Both wordPress and enfold are up to date
Do you know why the preview is not correct?
April 29, 2019 at 7:54 pm #1095464Hey octech,
Looks like you’re using the Block editor and not the Advanced Layout Builder. We cannot really provide support for that.
Best regards,
VictoriaApril 29, 2019 at 10:45 pm #1095501Hey guys, I’m getting the same problem on some of my pages. I am in fact using the Advanced Layout Builder and not the block editor, but whenever the edit page loads I get the same error as above. Also, no changes are reflected on the front-end. They do “save” so if I make a change and refresh the edit page, my changes are still there, but these changes are not visible on the front-end.
April 30, 2019 at 1:24 pm #1095744Hi Victoria
I am indeed using the Advanced Layout Builder. I do not know why Blocks related errors appear at my site
I have taken a brand new wordpress instance, installed there enfold and imported the post using the xml wordpress export / import and I have exactly the same problem.
I have seen people having a similar problem
April 30, 2019 at 1:36 pm #1095749Hello again,
I forgot to thank you for your answer before, I do it now.
I have prepared an user for you to check my test site.
I had enfold configurated to use the block editor but changed to the classic editor to try if that solve my problem.
See attached credentials
Best regards
May 1, 2019 at 5:05 am #1096009Hi octech,
Thanks for the login details, though I’m not sure what is going on there. It seems like the block editor is still active on the page even though it’s not, what happens if you publish the page or create a new page?
Best regards,
RikardMay 2, 2019 at 9:43 am #1096404Hi,
If I create a new page; the classic editor opens. Please, feel free to try it yourself. This site is a test site.
I published the page in another test site and then the problem disappeared and the final version of the draft was published. It is the preview what does not work properly. It happened before, even if I did not contacted you. This is becoming a problem because happens too often and my client relies on drafts for their daily work
I have gone back to the block editor because we are using Gutemberg in other parts of the site.
Best regards,
Berta
May 3, 2019 at 8:35 pm #1097011Hi,
I’m also having the same issue. The same error also popups about Block validation. I’m using the advanced layout builder.
This is what happens after clicking on the Edit button for that page

May 4, 2019 at 12:14 pm #1097163Hi slui,
The block validation error pops up if Gutenberg was enabled. You need to have it disabled in the theme options.

VictoriaMay 4, 2019 at 8:18 pm #1097296Thanks Victoria. I’ve done that but I’m still having issues. Please see my other post
May 5, 2019 at 10:41 pm #1097520Hi,
I think the three of us are having the same problem.
It seems there is a real issue here that needs to be adressed. People cannot use drafts in updated wordPress instals and this a big inconvenience for users
Could you have a look at it?
Best regards,
Berta
May 6, 2019 at 3:31 am #1097545Hi,
@slui: We replied to your thread. Please continue there.
@octech: We switched the editor to classic and it seems to have fixed the issue. The block validation will only appear if the block editor is enabled as @victoria mentioned. Please make sure that that you’re not loading the page from cache. Remove the browser history or purge the plugin cache.
Best regards,
IsmaelMay 6, 2019 at 10:04 am #1097629Hi,
Thank you Ismael.
Could you let me know what you did to the page exactly, so I can reproduce it in the client’s site?
Draft changes are now indeed visible. However, we were using the block editor (guttemberg) elsewhere in the site. So I need to go back to the block editor.
According to your documentation, Enfold is now compatible with Gutemberg. Is it not?
Best regards,
Berta

May 6, 2019 at 9:15 pm #1097828Hi admin team,
Octech raises a good point. It seems that for many of these issues the answer we are given is “revert to the classic editor”. While I understand that bugs can’t be fixed immediately and this is a good temporary solution, it’s not a solution. If Enfold is compatible with Gutenberg ( which it does claim to be ), then this is a bug that needs proper investigation and a fix. If not then it should be stated that Enfold does not fully support Gutenberg.
I can vouch for my team that we all really love Enfold and appreciate the work that goes into this great theme, which is why we continue to purchase it and support your efforts. It is frustrating though, that when issues like this come up we are not given a proper solution or support. It seems that most of us on here are more than willing to help find a solution. We are providing you with links to reproduce the issues etc so if there is more that we can do for you to help solve the issue, please do let us know. But please don’t just close this thread with an unresolved issue and a temporary solution.
Thanks again for your hard work.
May 7, 2019 at 4:50 am #1097920Hi,
Thanks for the update.
@octech: We set the editor back to Gutenberg and updated the “Basura Elementos” page. We can’t reproduce the issue any longer. The block editor is probably detecting an old shortcode block. Is this initially created with the block editor? (see private field)
@twitchdevelopment: We will release beta version of the latest patch and try to fix these kind of issues, but this one seems to be intermittent. It doesn’t happen regularly, so it’s quite difficult to debug. We do know that the block validation only appears when Gutenberg is enabled and if there is an existing block inside the editor. Please try to add some elements in the page, then update it once or twice.

IsmaelMay 7, 2019 at 1:14 pm #1098064Hi Ismael,
Thank you for your answer and for your hard work, Let’s hope you manage to solve this problem soon.
The site where this problem happened is using Guttemberg since wordPress 5 update. Enfold was also updated and block editor selected.
The original page I sent you was created with the Avia editor under this conditions.
I exported the problematic page from our production site and imported into an empty wordPress for you to try.
My clients have been complaining about drafts and previews for some time, this post is only an example. So I wouold like to know how can I solve their problem when this issue happens next.
Best regards,
Berta
May 13, 2019 at 1:36 am #1099862Hi,
Thanks for the update.
So I wouold like to know how can I solve their problem when this issue happens next.
When creating new pages, ask your client to immediately switch to the advance layout builder right away without adding any blocks from the Gutenberg editor. That should prevent the block validation from ever appearing in that page. Sorry for the delay.

IsmaelMay 13, 2019 at 8:53 pm #1100287Hi Ismael.
Thank you for your answer.
Let’s hope next updates remove the issue completely
Best regards,
Berta
