    Hi guys,

Thank you so much for the amazing work you have done with GDPR! Bravo! You guys are the absolute best!

Now, onto what I found… maybe there’s a resolution that can be added to the functions.php of the child theme? One that forces loading those elements even if they are not on the page?

I’ve been testing on a site that has zero plugins and no analytics – only Enfold ;)

Everything looks great on Safari but when I open on Chrome, (if Disabling of template builder elements is load only needed elements) I get these messages: https://s15.postimg.cc/kmrtkvuxn/Screen_Shot_2018-06-08_at_4.29.40_PM.png

If I let all the elements load, it renders perfectly. I’d hate to sacrifice site performance (not this site, but other sites) for this horrible GDPR (If you don’t want to be tracked, don’t visit the site lol) This thing about analytics, fonts, google… just set them up with them and leave us alone. ;)

Let me know if you want me to set it back to the Previous Performance options. And yes, all caches have been cleared. Browsers, everything.

Question: Are you planning on releasing a Geo identification? Let those who are in the EU deal with this, but don’t bother the majority of my visitors, kind of thing?

    Thank you sooo much!!!

    Warmly,

    Havi

    Hi,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create a admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Basilis

    Hi Basilis!!

Were you able to login? I changed the setting to Only Load Needed Elements under Performance so it’s easier for you to see the Error on the Modal Window on Chrome.

    Thank you!!

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. Have you tried to update the page after enabling that particular option? It usually fix the issue for most users. Updating will regenerate the page shortcodes with the correct uid value which is required by the element or shortcode manager.

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael!

Actually it was only happening on Chrome and cleared cache for the last hour and would not go away. But now, I came back to the page and it works like a charm on Chrome…

I wouldn’t have to update all of the pages, right? (I don’t know which page users will use to land on the page.

Also, there is no need to use the modal window, right? I could add the shortcodes on the Cookies & Privacy Policy page and let them choose from there. Let them work a little. ;)

    Warmly,

    Havi

    Hi,

No, you don’t have to update every pages but it is recommended that you do. Try to do a bulk edit in the Pages panel.

Also, there is no need to use the modal window, right?

Yes, you don’t need to enable the modal window. Just add the privacy shortcodes in your privacy policy page. :)

    Best regards,
    Ismael
