July 1, 2019 at 2:19 am #1114748Hi,
It looks like you are using Enfold v4.4.1 and your using “header_scrolldown” which is not scrolling down for you.
Please try downloading the latest theme from your Theme Forest account.
Then open it and extract the “enfold.zip” file and then extract it to your desktop as /enfold/
Then rename to /enfold-new/ and upload the folder to your /wp-content/themes/ folder via FTP or your file manager in your webhost cPanel
Then via FTP or your cPanel file manager, at /wp-content/themes/ rename /enfold/ to /enfold-old/ and rename /enfold-new/ to /enfold/
Please don’t try to overwrite the theme folder, as this will leave old files behind and cause errors.
Now your new version is installed, please check your site. If all is well then “Good Job!” If not then reverse the last rename step above and your site will be restored.Best regards,

March 18, 2020 at 6:39 am #1194033Hi,
Sorry for the problem. The update to 4.7.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
After you have updated then try to activate the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,

Thanks for the feedback, I tested your site on WebPageTest.org and found that your “First
Byte Time” is 3.343s, this is 3s too slow, it should be about 0.343s or faster.
The whole page loaded in 13.179s – 14.586s
The FBT is due to your web server, there is not anything you can do to reduce that first 3s.
Your other content connections look ok until you get to the “fontello.woff2” font which is giving a 404.
Please see the test link below.
I also tested the same demo on my test server and the FBT was 0.566s and the whole page loaded in 5.233s – 7.220s “out of the box”.Best regards,
MikeDecember 14, 2020 at 9:45 am #1267050Hi there,
Apologies for the delay.
Thanks so much for the feedback.
We are a business based in South Africa BTW.
Besides for FBT which I am awaiting feedback from my host, what changes can I make to the site to speed things up?
Should I delete “fontello.woff2” font which is giving a 404?
What else can be done to get the same loadspeed as you?
Thanks again
December 15, 2020 at 2:06 pm #1267476Hi,
Sorry for the late reply, I would recommend adding the “fontello.woff2” font which is missing from here:
/wp-content/uploads/avia_fonts/fontello/fontello.woff2
I linked to a copy in the Private Content area that you can use to upload via FTP.
I re-ran the webpagetest.org test on your site from their “Cape Town, South Africa” test server and the results were much better, perhaps some of your webhost’s adjustments are helping. Please check the link below.Best regards,
MikeJanuary 4, 2021 at 12:22 pm #1270125Hi Mike,
Apologies for the delay. Happy new years!
Thanks so much for this.
I have just uploaded the missing font and will test further.
Can you check that this was done correctly?
Thanks again for your assistance here.
