    I updated yesterday to 4.71 on 2 of my sites and received critical errors on both. The one below I had rollback to Enfold 4.6.3.1 using a restore to get it to come up. The other site I had an issue with I turned off caching and that seemed to help somewhat, although I intermittently get critical errors when updating a page.

    Any thoughts on what’s causing this?

    Hey annameis,

    You are asking what is causing an error which you haven’t included? Please try to explain a bit further if you need further help.

    I would suggest that you create a staging site and update there first to avoid problems with your live site.

    Hi Rikard,

    After running the update I get a white screen that say “Critical Error on your website. Learn more about debugging in WordPress”.

    I am also getting Critical Error on this site running 4.7.1. Click on Consulting on top tab for example.

    Hi,


    @annameis     i enabled debugging in WP and tried updating the theme to the latest version from WP dashboard and it worked fine. It did not throw any errors. Please review your website :)


    @suzpolo     please try updating Enfold to the latest version 4.7.2. If that does not help, please post FTP and WP admin logins in your thread so we can look into it – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/new-theme-update-caused-site-to-go-down/
