It looks like to accomplish a few things that I’d like to do I’ll need to add some code to my functions.php. I seem to remember that these changes are often overwritten when a theme is updated unless a child theme is being used. Seeing as I have a knack for crashing the entire internet when I attempt anything beyond the most basic of tasks, I’m hoping there is a feature in enfold that makes creating a child theme easy . . . if there is, could somebody point me to it?

If not, having looked around online, the process seems rather complicated. Can anybody give me a “child theme creation for dummies” tutorial? I did it once before on another theme, but crashed my site (not kidding).

    Thanks y’all
    Jon

Found a plugin that I can delete after using to create the child theme. Seems to be working.

    Hi,

Great, glad you found a solution. If you should need a basic child theme in the future then you can download one here: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/

    Best regards,
    Rikard
