    Hi!

Dear Sirs, I have spent over two hours to enable Maps in my theme and nothing is working – I still get the message “Failed to connect to Google Maps with this API key.”

    Latest WordPress 5.5.3
    Latest Enfold
    No plugins
Project in google console linked to billing account
    API key has no restrictions

I found this guide by google https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/adding-a-google-map
I used the Try Now (JSFiddle) feature and used my API key instead of the demo key in the code. And it works !!!
But not in the Enfold. So my API key is good enough for google but not for the Enfold theme.

Ok, thanks to AJDesignCo comments, now I get it. All I had to do was hit the “Save all changes” button and just ignore that DUMB ERROR MESSAGE!!!

And I can’t use “Enter Address, then fetch coordinates” because of
An error occurred – Google changed the way google maps work. You now need to enter a valid Google Maps API Key
You can read a description on how to create and enter that key here: Enfold Google Settings

but I can enter coordinates manually and it works.

Note to the designer (or developer) in the normal world, the order is Latitude / Longitude, not Longitude / Latitude.
