While trying to activate the theme or even live preview it I get the error below (yes, I uploaded the correct files: “enfold.zip” – tried installing via WordPress and FTP upload). I contacted NetSol tech support and the permissions are set.

    500: Internal server error

This error is generated when a script running on the server could not be implemented or permissions are incorrectly assigned for files or directories

    Troubleshooting suggestions:

Temporarily disable any rewrite rules by renaming your .htaccess file if it exists.

Ensure that any CGI or Perl scripts have at least .755. permissions.

If trying to run PHP and you get this error, you may have an invalid php.ini in your /cgi-bin, or may be missing your php.dat file in this folder.

    Hey Richinator,

Can you please check server log for error?

Here is how to find it: http://snapcreek.com/blog/wordpress-error-log-friend/

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Thanks for the reply Victoria. I set up debugging and the log file contained the following:

    Hi,

Please go to /wp-content/themes/ folder via FTP and delete “enfold” folder and then re-install it – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#reinstall-or-update-using-ftp.
If that too does not help, please post FTP logins here privately as well

    Regards,
    Yigit

I have deleted it and reinstalled it once before (before I contacted support) but I’ll try that again now. Thanks Yigit.

OK, I just deleted and reinstalled Enfold and I’m getting the same error. Please advise.
