I have set up three different contact forms on my website. Since yesterday these suddenly stopped working. One of them acts as an order form for a product and so all of my orders from today have been lost.
I didn’t change anything, didn’t install any plugins or anything like that. What could be the reason and have all of today’s orders been lost?
If you use the contact form it seems to work, but the messages never get through to me.I ask for help! Thank you very much!

NikkoThe contact form didn’t work for a whole day. First, the sender received an autoresponder message but I didn’t receive the message. Later, nobody received anything anymore. In the evening and since then it all worked fine again. What could be the mistake? Is there a chance or a possibility to grab the lost messages?

Thank you for the update.
Glad to know that the contact form is working properly again. Unfortunately, you cannot retrieve the previous messages back unless you are using a different contact form plugin such as Contact Form 7 or WPForms, and a compatible plugin that stores messages in the database before actually sending them to the supposed recipient. The default contact form in the theme does not have that kind of feature.
You may have to contact your hosting provider and ask them if there is a server error during that time or ask them for any related info that might have lead to the problem.
