    Hi,

Is it possible to create a Contact Form that POSTs instead of the default mailto?

I want to create a simple form that registers a new wordpress user with a password and adds them to my mailchimp list.

    Thanks.

    Hi!

No, unfortunately this is not possible. I’d recommend to use a plugin like Formidable Contact Form which comes with a registration addon.

    Best regards,

    Peter

I’m looking for something like this, but not to register new users.

Is it possible to have a form in the front-end for creating a new portfolio item? Or is there a way of converting users to portfolio items?

    Hi emilottersten,

No, not with the plugin mentioned as far as I know. I think the last user who wanted to do something like that ended up using a permissions plugin to allow people to only post to the portfolio custom post type or something like that.

But off hand I don’t know of a way to do that.

    Regards,

    Devin

Ok, thanks, but that won’t work for me. What I need is that the user fill in their information in a form to request a membership, and after the admins approve them as members and then just publish the info from the form as a portfolio item.

    Hi,

That requires some hard coding, and thats something you would need to work with a freelance developer, or if you have the skills, you can do it yourself following this series of posts which explains it in detail.

    Regards,

    Josue
