Hey I tried to compress my wordpress with the deflate code in htaccess, but it does not work.
Actually I found the same code I should insert already in the beginning of the htaccess file.

    <IfModule mod_deflate.c>...

But the GIDZip Test says there is no compression on my wordpress:
So is there an error in wordpress, or is the GIDZip tool just kidding me?
My website is really slow, even though I compressed all picutres with tiny jgp panda.
So I guess the wordpress source code has to be compressed, yes?
I also have a huge background image and plenty of Any Fonts.
    Should I replace them?

    Kind regards!

Hey it was just my host, which had to drop my webspace on a server with deflate compression function.

Great, glad you got it working. Please let us know if you should need any further help on the topic or if we can close it.

    Best regards,
