im using a shortcode to add js to a certain page via code block, but its blocking images and not allowing click on menu actions??
I read the special character info and downloaded and installed the special character translation plug in but not joy.
the shortcode is [WP-Coder id=”6″] which screws things up, it certainly pulls in the JS, ive tried:
###91###WP-Coder id=”2″###93### but all that does is break the link and show that text on the page?
seems ok 0n safari but not google chrome and opera etc.November 22, 2020 at 4:09 am #1262064
Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

Thanks for that, the login details you posted are not working though. Please check and verify.

Thanks for that, login details are working now. I check the page in both Chrome and Safari, but I can’t see the shortcode generating anything in either one. What exactly is that shortcode supposed to generate? Did you try reaching out to the authors of the code?

The short ode is for a js to check operating system version and auto download appropriate file extension, that works but in chrome the shortcode stops clicking menu, it won’t open and squashes header picture also.November 25, 2020 at 6:05 am #1262904
Thanks for the update. The header looks strange on my end using both Safari and Chrome, so I’m guessing that the code you are using is creating some sort of conflict. This type of problem would be considered out of scope of theme support unfortunately, since it’s caused by third party code. Please try reaching out to the authors of the code in question for further support.

So I can’t use Standard WP shortcodes and your character work around plug in doesn’t work???November 26, 2020 at 4:50 am #1263160
Thanks for the update. What exactly is a standard WordPress shortcode? I thought it was coming from a plugin? You don’t have to replace any characters, shortcodes should work without any modification in the code block or text block element. But the code generated from this particular shortcode seems to be breaking things on your site, and we can’t support third party code which breaks things on your site unfortunately.
