    Good Afternoon,
We have an issue with the website that has only been happening for the last few weeks, but there was no obvious change or reason for it to have occurred. We have since made sure that WordPress, Enfold and all themes are up to date but it hasn’t resolved the issue.

WooCommerce is working, you can add items to the basket but when you go to ‘Checkout’ the page can’t be displayed (404 Not Found). I have deleted the cache / disabled the caching plugin and others but it made no difference.

I logged a ticket with the hosting provider and they advised that it’s an issue with the theme and they are unable to help, they advised they have seen the errors I have provided in the private content area.

We are desperate to get the website back up and running so people can order items, please can you help. Please let me know if you need access to login and take a look.

    Hey Courtyardarts,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( to be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Nikko

    Hi,

I have provided access as requested

    Hi,

Thanks for the login token. Could you try upgrading your PHP version to 7.2 or higher to see if that help? If not then please try disabling all plugins except WooCommerce to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Unfortunately I need to wait for the hosting provider to update PHP, I have already requested this but it’s not something they allow me to do myself. I expect this to be done on 30th (3 days).

Please be aware that the problem occurred before WordPress, Enfold and all plugins were updated so there wasn’t any real reason why it would have occurred. Can you confirm that you have taken a look, did yous see any other problems? Can you advise regarding the errors that the hosting provider mentioned (see private area)

How confident are we that this is a PHP issue?

    Hi,
This is affecting all child pages now for no apparent reason, we haven’t changed anything. Please can you help?

    #1233718

    Hi Courtyardarts,

It’s most likely a PHP version issue as this issue doesn’t appear in most if not all enfold users.
Also woocommerce 4.3’s required minimum PHP version is 7.2, source: https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/update-php-wordpress/

    Best regards,

    Hi,
I appreciate that, but it happened before the upgrade as stated earlier, and was previously fine on the older PHP version. I will let you know once this has been upgraded, lets hope that is the fix.

    Hi Courtyardarts,

Thanks, please let us know the results of changing the PHP version.

    Hi,

The website has been migrated to a new server and PHP upgraded and the issue has been resolved, I suspect it was the server migration rather than the PHP upgrade though as the behavior was erratic rather than consistent.

Either way, this is now resolved, thanks.

    Hi Courtyardarts,

We’re glad to hear that :)
Thanks for using Enfold and have a great weekend!

    Best regards,
    Nikko
