    Hello,

There are the characters ” /> in the very top left corner of my website. I found the characters in the header.php document, double checked that they should be there, and they should. I don’t know why they are showing up, but they are in the original theme file I downloaded, so I don’t want to remove them.

Please let me know what I can do to make it stop displaying.

    Hey sealmaster,

Maybe it’s due to incomplete code in the Analytics box under Enfold->Google Services? If not then please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi,
I checked the code and re-pasted it from google and the issue is still there.

    Thanks!

    Hi,

Thanks for that, it doesn’t seems to be caused by the analytics code like you mentioned, and I can’t seem to find where that is coming from unfortunately. Did you make any changes in particular before this started showing?

    Best regards,

    Rikard,

I am not sure when it started showing, but I orignally added the analytics code into the header.php and found the same characters in this line of code

    < meta charset=”< ?php bloginfo( ‘charset’ ); ?>” / >

And if I remove the last three characters, the same that are showing up, it will get rid of it on the website. I thought maybe I messed the code up with the analytics code, so I reverted back to the old code from the theme files but it was the same.

I did not manipulate any other theme files besides the header.php. Hope that helps

    Thanks

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback, I can’t see a header.php file in your child theme though, did you edit the parent file? If so, did you try to replace the header.php file with a fresh copy? You can download it from your Themeforest account if you don’t have one locally.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Yes, I did originally modify the parent file, as I usually do for just the analytics code. I did copy and paste all content from the local theme file but it made no change until I overwrote the existing header.php and now it is fixed.
    Thanks!
