Hello.
About 3 years ago I made a website using Enfold for a customer. Up until now there has been no problems but I was recently contacted about an issue with the “edit page” section. According to the customer the way Enfol shows page content when editing a page has changed and now shows html code even when in visual mode. Further more the code shown in visual mode is written in white text (on a white background) making it impossible to see what has been written. Here’s a link to a folder with some screen dumps of a page when editting (all pages have tha same problem)

Thank you.// Esben

Please select to use the Classic Editor in the main page of the theme options if you are running 4.4.1 or above. If not then update to the latest version of the theme: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update.

RikardOctober 28, 2019 at 9:21 am #1151683I’m running 4.4.1 but when I go to the main page of the theme there’s nowhere I can select Classic Editor.
I may be looking in the wrong place. When looking at the WordPress dashboard there’s an Enfold menu item in the big menu to the left. Pressing that sends me to the Enfold Theme Option and I believe that’s where the Classic Editor should be. I have however looked through all the theme options and can’t find anything about a Classic Editor.Am I looking the right place?
October 28, 2019 at 1:42 pm #1151742Hi,
You need to update the theme then. The update to 4.6.x has to be done manually from the version you are running, please refer to my replies in this thread: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-4-5-theme-update-update-failed-download-failed-a-valid-url-was-not-pro/#post-1021541
You can either update manually via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update, or use a plugin to upload the theme zip file: https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/
If that doesn’t work then please try to delete the whole theme folder, then replace it with the new version. Make sure that you have backups of the site before starting updating.
Also please read this after you have updated: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/
Best regards,
RikardOctober 29, 2019 at 10:58 am #1152013I worked with the Plugin.
Thank you.
