There were/are some problems with the latest Enfold update and The Events Calendar. There has been an update for The Events Calendar (4.9.0.2) but it does not affect the following issue:

A problem with the Magazine element where i choose to show the tribe events Cat items.

I used to see here newly posted events so they were visible as ‘last posted, first in line’. But now it shows the events by start date of the event itself. It kinda kills the advantage of showing the first article bigger than the others.

Take a look at the magazine element near the bottom of this page: Kunstlijn Haarlem

So the question is: how to change the order of the event calender items in the Magazine element?

    Hi Victoria,
No, it was alway’s in order of last published event Now it is ordered on startdate of the event itself. The original headline of this item was (translated) NEW in the Kunstlijn Haarlem Agenda (new in the event calendar). The big problem is of course that the now shown article does show itself on the first place not because it is newly published, but it had a long time to wait before it starts. And again, it alsway’s worked, unitl the last problems with the events calendar/enfold update.

    Hi digiplace,

Please post us your login credentials (in the “private data” field), so we can take a look at your backend.

    1. Install and activate ” Temporary Login Without Password “.
    2. Go to ” Users > Temporary Logins ” on the left-side menu.
    3. Click ” Create New “.
    4. Add the email address for the account ( you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ), as well as the ” Role ” making that the highest possible and the expiry about four days
( do be sure that we have enough time to debug ).
    5. Click ” Submit “.
    6. You’ll now have a temporary account. Please provide us here in the private section the URL, so we can login and help you out.

When your issue is fixed, you can always remove the plugin!
If you prefer to not use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and post the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

Temporary login almost expired. The problem just got way bigger after updating the regular release of The Events Calendar today. The upcomings events only show the upcoming events. Meaning only the one what haven’t started yet. And not the events already active. It made my page useless so I used another option in the menu. The page of our original calendar is https://www.kunstlijnhaarlem.nl/kunstlijn-agenda/

The original problem on our homepage which shows NOT the last published order but the events in order of upcoming dates remains a problem. I think we have to remove that part of our Homepage soon.

I don’t think it is the same issue. It also does not help. I have changed /wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_upcoming.php with the suggested file but it does not change anything

    Compare:

https://www.kunstlijnhaarlem.nl/kunstlijn-agenda/ (original page on our website)
    with
https://www.kunstlijnhaarlem.nl/agenda/today/ (output the events calendar, now temp solution in our menu)

Its a problem in the avia MAGAZINE content

You can see the right order in the screenshot, but is does not show on the page itself as you can see here (at the bottom) https://www.kunstlijnhaarlem.nl/
