Hi,
in my website, in the “chi siamo” (“who we are”) section, i have a Section Color with a background image (the staff photos) that covers all the page.
This is ok when I visits the website from a computer, but if I open the website on a mobile smartphone, the image is extended and I can only see the cutten central section of the image.I would like that when i go on mobile:
– the background image disappears, turning into a neutral-colored background;
– a simple image appears, for example in a 3/5 layout element.I hope I explained myself.
Thanks a lot for the support!July 4, 2018 at 3:52 am #980883Hey Real-3D,
Thank you for using Enfold.
Edit that particular section and then apply a unique Section ID. You can use that ID inside a css media query to adjust the background property on mobile view. You can also duplicate the section, remove the background and then toggle the Screen Options. You can hide original section’s duplicate on desktop view and have it show on mobile view only.

IsmaelJuly 4, 2018 at 9:18 am #981016Hi Ismael and thanks for the reply.
The suggestion you provided to duplicate the section and modify each one for desktop and mobile seems to be easy to do, but i’ll need some help with this part: after duplicating and setting the 2 sections, how can i do to make each section visible only in desktop and mobile?
Thanks again,
Real-3DJuly 4, 2018 at 2:06 pm #981201Hi Real-3D,
You will find options to do that in the Screen Options tab in each of the element options.

RikardJuly 4, 2018 at 3:11 pm #981252Hi Rikard and thanks, but i can’t find the section you said.
I just find the “ID Section“, but I don’t know if this is what you mean, and moreover I don’t know how it works and I don’t know what to do… Maybe I have to write a specyfic CSS code? Can you help me with this?
Thanks a lot,
R-3DJuly 5, 2018 at 7:09 am #981441Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. The reason you can’t see that is because you are running a very old version of the theme, it was just added recently. Could you try updating the theme to the latest version (4.4.1) to see if that helps please? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/how-to-install-enfold-theme/#theme-update. Please make sure to keep proper backups of your site before updating.

RikardJuly 5, 2018 at 12:08 pm #981548Hi and thanks a lot for the info!
I have just done a backup of my website, and now i’m going to update the theme, but i have a question before proceed.
I have an enfold-child theme installed, so i’ll need to download the enfold-child update from the link you provided, right?
And then install it following the “Why Child Theme?” section, right?
I’m afraid of doing something wrong…
Thanks,
R-3DJuly 5, 2018 at 1:15 pm #981577Hi,
You don’t need to update the child theme. Just update the parent theme and you’re all good.
IMPORTANT: You need to create a backup or a restore point before the update just in case something goes wrong. Ask your hosting provider if you’re not sure how to do it.

R-3DJuly 5, 2018 at 2:22 pm #981609Ok nothing, I found it out in my e-mail messages where envato sent me the update advice!
Thanks again, i’m going to update now!July 6, 2018 at 6:59 am #981854Hi,
Great! Let us know when you’re done. You should see the elements’ Screen Options after the update. You may also need to reconfigure the Enfold > Performance panel. Disable the css/js compression temporarily.

IsmaelJuly 6, 2018 at 8:48 am #981903Hi and thanks,
Yes, i’m done with the update and now i can see the element’s screem with the new setup, and i’ve just updated my website as i initially asked in this post!I also saw the message to disable css/js, but why and how i need to do this? I’m asking because i haven’t yet disable them and everything seems to work properly.
Thanks,

R-3DJuly 9, 2018 at 1:21 pm #983085Hi,
You may also need to reconfigure the Enfold > Performance panel. Disable the css/js compression temporarily.
If everything is working as it should then you don’t need to take any further action.
Best regards,
RikardJuly 9, 2018 at 4:09 pm #983181Ok, that’s perfect, everything is ok.
