Categories do not get assigned to Posts

Hi guys. I have an odd one. I create a post and assign it to a category on its new post page. When I look it up under “All pages” it appears there with the category I assigned it.

However, when I go back to the “Posts” link on the left nav and select the sublink “categories” it shows all the categories, but does not account for any of the posts I have created under the number of posts column. It reads “0”. The only categories that show posts there are categories with posts that came with the Enfold Template.

When I try to add content to a Template Page, it can’t find any posts I added in that category. It can only find the posts that came with the program.

I’ve tried creating new Category names, but get the same effect. No posts listed under the general categories page, but the actual posts page shows it is assigned to the new category. What gives?

(look at News Section in center of page, it should be populated with the category “NJFL News”. The news section in the footer is populated with several categories that do work..)
