Hi
I have a problem with saving the settings on a slide with layerslider. I.e I am trying to change “Slide Delay”, so I change the value and hit save and everything is good. But when I open the slide again the old setting is still there. Is there any extra permissions that I need to set?
May 27, 2014 at 7:40 pm #270746Hey Ahnell!
Are you using the latest version of Enfold? have you tried disabling all third-party plugins to see if it gets fixed?
Best regards,

Try increasing the memory allocation limit:

Can you create an administrator account and post it here as a private reply?

Any new tips?May 31, 2014 at 6:32 pm #272811Hi!
I think this is related to the _layerslider table (in the database) not being able to save the changes, i’ll tag the rest of the team to this topic.

This topic on the general forums may be of help here: http://wordpress.org/support/topic/save-changes-not-working-in-layer-slider-wp-admin-page
The gist is trying to clear out any html content in your slides in case there is a conflict there that might have leaked into the data for the plugin settings.
Cheers!
DevinJune 2, 2014 at 10:48 pm #273557Hi,
Thanks for the tip!I’m not using the HTML content box. I have an image an a H2 text with custom style settings:
box-shadow: 0px 4px 10px -5px black; text-shadow: none; font-weight: normal; opacity: .65; width:390px; text-align:right;
I tried to remove that as well, but can’t remove it.
June 3, 2014 at 7:53 pm #274137I have tried to remove all entries in the layerslide table in the database and then tried to add a new slide. But it can’t save that ether. I also have given my database user total access to the database, but with no luck.
I Guess the next step is to redo all, but I hope you guys can come up with a solution before that
June 5, 2014 at 8:23 am #274983Hey!
Another user: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/layerslider-wp-problem-layerslider-nicht-editierbar-weisse-seite/ reported a similar issue (could not edit any slide) and he solved the issue by updating php to version 5.4. I noticed you’re using php 5.3.10 at the moment and I recommend to update php to 5.4.
Best regards,
PeterJune 10, 2014 at 10:24 pm #277227Thanks for the tip.
I have now also updated my PHP version to 5.4.27 but without success :(
June 11, 2014 at 7:39 am #277412Hey!
Tbh I’ve also no idea why the slider settings don’t save on your server. I’ll forward the issue to Kriesi and hopefully he can work something out. If not you can try a different slider plugin like Master Slider or Revolution Slider. They’re not bundled with the theme but they’re compatible with Enfold.

PeterOctober 15, 2014 at 10:14 pm #336411I just want to report that I had this same problem today and I solved it by updating the server to PHP 5.4 as Dude suggested. So thank you, Dude, and hopefully this might help someone else.
My problem was that I could not save style changes to the text on the slides. It seemed to work on the back end, and it seemed to save and showed correctly in the preview; but when I viewed the slides on the front end the styles reverted to defaults. And when I re-opened the slides on the back end, the styles were gone again.
This problem arose for me when I migrated the site from one server (on PHP 5.4) to another that got reset to 5.2 because I did not migrate the .htaccess & php.ini files required. It was a simple fix after all. Using my host’s cPanel interface, I found the PHP config settings and set it to 5.4.
