Hi,
I installed Enfold using the instructions that came with the theme. It installed successfully and I was able to activate the theme.
However the demo files won’t install, not using the Enfold “Demo Import” function and also not using the manual import of the XML function.
I tried importing the Enfold 2017 as well as a few other demos. I received the error message “Importing didn’t work. You might want to try reloading the page and then try again”. the site https://loveld-50ac02.easywp.com shows the import did not succeed.
I tried first on WP5.1 and then on WP5.2. I tried after first installing the child team, to now avail.
I also tried using the manual import procedure of the XML file, but that failed too.
What can I do?

May 13, 2019 at 2:39 am #1099871Hey innobuilder,
Thanks for the login, what is your webhost? Some hosts have security settings that block our demo import.
Please check your PHP settings to see if the secure options are activated.
“allow_url_fopen, “allow_url_include” and “register_globals” are “off”
Try turning these “on”.
Then please use the wp-reset plugin to reset your install before importing a new demo.
If this doesn’t help, please include ftp access in the private content area so we can help install the “2017 Demo” for you.
This is the one you want, correct?
Also, please update to v4.5.7Best regards,

Thanks for the FTP access, I tried uploading the demo, but I’m not sure this ftp account is actually correct, I was also not able to login to your dashboard.easywp.com, It says the login is not correct. Do you have this with “namecheap”?
Please verify your login details.Best regards,

I am having the same issue. Using standard import of band demo didn’t work so have tried manual import of XML file which fails to import all media files. Can you please advise if there is another way to fix the issue?
Kind regards

@tomlonsborough456 Thank you for the login to your site, I see that your server doesn’t have the PHP ZipArchive Extension enabled, this is used to extract the demo import files and install the layerslider demo files, please ask your webhost to enable.
But I also see that you have a built-out site and importing a demo will overwrite your site, do you have a backup of your site? Was this site built with the Beaver Builder Theme, if so importing the Enfold Construction demo may cause you to lose styles and settings.
Perhaps you wish to add the layout of Construction Demo frontpage to your site, instead of installing the full demo you could Enable the Avia Layout Builder Debugger and import the Construction demo to either a localhost or a staging site and copy the page shortcode to a new page on your site and then modify, this way you will not risk your current site. If you don’t have a localhost or staging site and only want a page or two from the Construction demo then I could add the page shortcode for you from my localhost.
I just don’t want to see you break the work you have already put into the site.Best regards,

Thanks for your question, but you have posted to a thread from 2019 as this is not your thread posting your admin login here will not be private and you will not see our comments in the Private Content area, so please open a new thread so we can assist.
Also let us know what host you are using as OVH is a known host to block our IP address.
If the manual import method fails, try creating a localhost WordPress install and import the demo and then use the plugin Duplicator and migrate your localhost version to your webhost, see the video on the plugin page if you have not used this plugin before, it is quite easy.Best regards,
