    Hi,

    I have added a button on a full page slider and set the link manually.
    On click the button does nit do anything or link to the desired url/page

    Hi,

    Will the theme break anything if I update (this website was built only in July?

    What is the best way to update the theme?

    Will all CSS settings be retained?

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Yes, the css and all existing options will be retained after the update, but make sure to create a site backup or a restore point just in case.

    You can upgrade the theme directly from the Enfold > Theme Update panel, just provide a valid Envato token, then manually check for updates. The latest version of the theme is v5.1.1. You can also update the theme manually via FTP.

    I am still unclear why the button won’t work on the slider.
    The button link functionality works OK across the rest of the site.

    I was thinking of adding the child theme at some stage – is it better to do this before I update a theme. Hoe does it work with the child theme for updates?

    Hi,

    You can add a child theme at any point really, just remember to import your parent theme settings under Enfold->Import/Export. The updates works the same using a child theme.
